The Hotel “Alfonso a Mare” is situated in Praiano in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, one of the most beautiful and characteristic small bays of the area, the picturesque beach of “Praia”, an ancient fishing village. Just 7 km from Amalfi and Positano, a few steps from the crystal clear sea.

Coming from North:

“Autostrada del Sole to Naples. Follow signs for “Salerno – Reggio Calabria” (A3) on this highway and exit at Castellammare di Stabia from where, following the signs to Sorrento and Positano you arrive at your destination.

Coming from the South:

Highway “Reggio Calabria – Salerno, exit at Salerno and follow signs for the Amalfi Coast, Amalfi, Praiano and then, or from Salerno take the SS163 Amalfitana or being close to the highway Salerno, take out and always in Castellammare di Stabia, where following the signs for Positano Sorrento you arrive at your destination.

By Plane:

We suggest two airports, one in Naples and the diFiumicino (Roma). If you arrive at Naples International Airport, we suggest you book a taxi to the hotel which is the best way. In addition to the airport you can use the Curreri bus to Sorrento, from where another bus will arrive at Praiano Sita. If you arrive at Leonardo Da Vinci (Fiumicino – Rome), you can book a taxi to the hotel. The airport also has a train service that connects Fiumicino with Termini and Tiburtina station, from where, with another train, you can continue to the railway station in Naples. From Tiburtina station there are direct connections to Sorrento by bus service called Marozzi and Praiano.

By Train:

The most convenient railway station is Napoli Centrale or Piazza Garibaldi, where on the trains Circumvesuviana, you get to Sorrento. On the square in front of the station is the SITA bus that connects to Praiano. Same for arrivals at the airport of Capodichino. Take a taxi or bus to the Circumvesuviana station and take the train to Sorrento. However, we suggest to book a taxi from the airport or train station to the hotel. The other train station (arriving from the south) is the closest to Salerno, where sea (see below) or by land (Sita op. Taxi) you can easily reach us.

By sea, from Salerno:

Daily departures from the port of Salerno (5 minutes walk from the station), times. We advise you to disembark in Amalfi and take the Sita bus to Praiano.

By sea, from Naples:

Daily departures to Positano and Amalfi. We advise you to disembark in Amalfi and take the Sita bus to Praiano. An alternative solution could be to a stop in Positano where you can catch a taxi boat (contact us for this service) directly from the port to get to the beach of Praiano.
